In the summer of 2013, it was nominated as a World Heritage Site.\nAt a height of 3.776m, and with only a two-month climbing season, Fujisan’s summit is visited by 300,000 people every year. Fujisan was an object of worship in ancient times, and in the Edo period, it was worshipped by a group called‘ Fuji-ko’.
